Mad Lab Books began as My Football Hero, a passion project that quickly took off. Before we knew it, we were receiving 30+ emails a day from eager readers requesting biographies of their favourite players. We personally wrote, printed, packed, and posted every book—but as demand soared, we knew we had to rethink our approach.
Then came the lightbulb moment. Watching my son play FIFA (or whatever it’s called now!), I saw his pure excitement when opening a random player pack. The thrill of the unknown, the anticipation, and then the joy of bagging the ultimate player—Ronaldo. That’s when it hit me: why not bring that same excitement to books? A surprise football star every month, turning reading into an experience kids look forward to.
We soon expanded beyond male football, introducing biographies of inspiring female players, pop stars, and now our newest adventure series, Amber Explores. With such a diverse range of stories to tell, we knew it was time for a change—so we rebranded to Mad Lab Books, a place where curiosity, storytelling, and imagination come to life.

You'll be billed on the 1st of the month, then on the 2nd we start printing and posting them. therefore, you'll receive them around the 15th of each month.
EXAMPLE: Books are sent out sent out for the 15th of each month via Royal Mail
If you placed an order on the 16th April you’d receive your first book around the 15th of May but wouldn’t be billed again until the 1st June
